Questions for school evaluation:

  1. Are your students sufficiently aware of the long term implications of their post 16 educational choices on their future university and occupational decisions?

  2. Are your students sufficiently aware of the range of opportunities available to them and the requirements they should decide on and work towards?

  3. Are your students adequately enough aware of their true academic potential, of their strengths and required areas for development?

  4. Do your students know how to make decisions, plan routes ahead and action plan?

  5. Do your students know how to effectively research into post school opportunities?

  6. Are your students knowledgeable about their most efficient and effective learning and study styles?

  7. Are your students really self aware of their strengths, their aspirations and the best way of achieving these within the context of the adult world ahead, and what they’ve got to do to get there?

  8. To what extent to you as a school really know the academic potential of your students, objectively and impartially?

  9. How do you really get your students to think and plan for their future and hence make the most of their education?

  10. What do you do to encourage your students to really aspire to achieve their potential by identifying what they could achieve in life?

  11. To what extent do you believe you are sufficiently well placed to adequately and accurately guide your students to make decisions on post school destinations?

  12. What do you do to help your students minimise the risk of making expensive post school decisions e.g. wrong university choices or to avoid the threat of lower life fulfilment than could otherwise be achieved?
